I am sorry for the length of time it has taken for me
to contact some of you. If you are not from the
central PA area, you may not be aware that our school
district just had a 5 yr. old, multi-million dollar
building condemned!.....this has left us with a serious
crunch for facilities. But...I have finally gotten the
OK to have our girl's wrestling tournaments.
I am attaching the information on both of our
tournaments, even though I know that some of you only qualify
for one. In addition, you will find information on a
new club that I am going to be coaching...for anyone
close enough to attend. Many of you will be recieving
a hard copy in the mail within the next week, or
thereabouts. If you want a hard copy, and do not receive
one, just let me know. Also, if you cannot read the
attachments...let me know.
Please pass this information on to others. If you
have a website...please post this information. Our
tournaments are typically very competitive, but will only
be more so with more involvement. Maybe some of our
athletes will be Olympians in 2004!
As always, if you have questions, feel free to contact
me at home (717-481-8615) or at work (717-481-8615).
Lets work together to make these tournaments the best
yet!
Thanks,
Jon Mitchell
Head Wrestling Coach
J.P. McCaskey H.S.
Dear Coaches and Wrestlers,
In an effort to increase involvement, and available opportunities, I will be holding practices for any girl seeking wrestling instruction (see attached club information). These will be all-girl practices, and will focus on skill building, wrestling strategy, and preparation for all-girl wrestling competitions.
Any girl interested should report directly to practice with the attached permission form/waiver (below) and the separate agreement to participate. No girl will be allowed to practice without both of these forms completed, but forms will be available and can be completed at the practice site.
Please encourage girls, and parents, to attend. The more athletes we have the better the practices will be. Any questions can be directed to me at Lafayette Elementary (717-291-6183) or at home (717-481-8615).
Sincerely,
Jonathan E. Mitchell
